Interstate Batteries Best of Detroit and Gold Cup EventThe Interstate Batteries Best of Detroit and Gold Cup event returns Sunday, May 3, at Firebird Raceway.

Gates Open: 8:00 AM
Racing Begins: Noon
Detroit competition categories include:
• Chevy Cup
• Ford Cup
• Mopar Cup
• Buick-Olds-Pontiac (BOP) Cup
The second day of the doubleheader weekend also features racing in the Boise Muffler Gold Cup Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts.
Sunday’s event will also serve as the first points-earning stop in the NHRA Division 6 Land of the Leaders Challenge. Additional challenge dates include June 13, July 25, and September 20.
The four Detroit class champions will compete in a special runoff for the King of the Spring title.
