Vabljeni na poseben večer, posvečen življenju v razdeljenem, a multikulturnem Cipru! Dogodek bo razkril osebne zgodbe skozi optiko kulinarike in pričevanja.Ogledali si bomo dva kratka dokumentarna filma iz projekta Vaha, ki bosta skozi prizmo kulinarike in osebnih spominov orisala mladost pričevalk in prisilno razdvojenost otoka.
Po ogledu filmov se nam bo pridružil Serdar Atai iz nevladne organizacije Masder. Serdar že vrsto let raziskuje in predstavlja bogato dediščino nekoč enotnega Cipra ter načine življenja, ki so omogočili izjemno medkulturno blagostanje. Z njim bomo razpravljali o pomenu zbiranja spominov in pomembnosti nesnovne dediščine ter njene moči za povezovanje.
Ne zamudite večera, ki nas bo spomnil, da nas kljub ločnicam lahko povezujejo skupne korenine, okusi in želja po razumevanju!
Pogovor se bo odvijal v angleščini. Filma imata podnapise v slovenščini.

You are invited to a special evening dedicated to life in a divided, yet multicultural Cyprus! The event will reveal personal stories through the lens of cuisine and testimony.
We will watch two short documentaries created by Interwoven Narratives Hub, funded by the Vaha project, which will outline the youth of the witnesses and the forced division of the island through the prism of cuisine and personal memories.
After watching the films, Serdar Atai from the non-governmental organization Famagusta Walled City Association will join us. For many years, Serdar has been researching and presenting the rich heritage of the once united Cyprus and the ways of life that have enabled exceptional intercultural prosperity. With him, we will discuss the importance of collecting memories and the importance of intangible heritage and its power to connect.
Don't miss an evening that will remind us that despite our divisions, we can be connected by common roots, tastes and the desire for understanding!
The conversation will be in English. The films have subtitles in Slovenian.
