Dan po našem popotovanju po Cipru vas vabimo še na izjemno predavanje o bogati kulturni dediščini Kurdistana! Odkrijte, kako je arhitektura oblikovala mesta in skupnosti.Gostili bomo Ronahi Gökdemir Bozkaya iz Diyarbakırja (Amed), priznano strokovnjakinjo za nepremično kulturno dediščino. Ronahi, ki se aktivno posveča prenašanju znanja na otroke in mladostnike, nas bo popeljala v preteklost.
Predstavila bo vpliv dinastije Marwānid na razvoj arhitekturnega programa v njihovi prestolnici, Mayyāfāriqīn (današnji Silvan in Amed, jugovzhodna Turčija). Spoznali bomo, kako je ta kurdska vladavina v poznem 10. in začetku 11. stoletja zaznamovala Zgornjo Mezopotamijo in oblikovala mesta.
Predavanje bo potekalo v angleščini.

The day after our trip to Cyprus, we invite you to an exceptional lecture on the rich cultural heritage of Kurdistan! Discover how architecture shaped cities and communities.
We will host Ronahi Gökdemir Bozkaya from Diyarbakır (Amed), a renowned expert on immovable cultural heritage. Ronahi, who is actively dedicated to passing on knowledge to children and young people, will take us back in time.
She will present the influence of the Marwānid dynasty on the development of the architectural program in their capital, Mayyāfāriqīn (present-day Silvan and Amed, southeastern Turkey). We will learn how this Kurdish rule in the late 10th and early 11th centuries marked Upper Mesopotamia and shaped cities.
The lecture will be held in English.
