Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful gives away an assorted variety of Florida-friendly trees twice a year.The next Spread-the-Shade Tree Giveaway is 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 at Clover Park, 31 Piazza Drive.
This is a drive-thru event; no walk-ups are allowed. Trees are placed into residents' vehicles by City staff and are given away on a first-come, first-served basis. IDs are required to prove City residency.
There will be avocado and Barbados cherry trees, along with a limited supply of 50 silver buttonwoods.
