About this Event
When Samantha Saffioti spoke to Nadia Mitsopoulos on the Mornings program about the death of her 17 year old son Tom in a car crash, she broke a three year silence.
She also called for passenger restrictions for P-platers in what she called Tom's Law, which the government will now implement in December.
When Daniel Campo's 18 year old son Nick died in a car crash in July, he called for tougher laws so novice drivers can't drive powerful cars.
The spate of recent deaths invovling young drivers has put a renewed focus on road safety.
Our next Mornings Spotlight forum on Wednesday December 4, will explore what more the government can do to kerb the state's road toll which is at its highest level in almost ten years.
Our panel includes:
- Daniel Campo
- Associate Professor Paul Roberts, Deputy Director of the WA Centre for Road Safety Research.
You can be part of our live audience on Wednesday December 4 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the ABC studios in East Perth. Doors open at approximately 9.15am.
