Songs for a Summer Solstice // 2024 Season
Music celebrating the two largest Summer Solstice festivals in the world: Midsommar (Sweden) and the Indigenous Summer Solstice Fair (Ottawa, CN). Traditional and modern music of Sweden, Norway, and Finland mixed with incredibly vibrant compositions by living indigenous composers Andrew Balfour, Sheryl Sewepagaham, and Valerie Naranjo.
This season's Spotlight concerts feature the 21-voice professional Ensemble as well as the 30-voice Alumni Choir of The Summer Singers, combined and separate. Artistic Direction by Adam Reinwald.
