The Pearl Center for Creative Arts, in collaboration with Evergreen Events and Experiences, is proud to present this installment of our Spotlight Series, featuring local artists, authors, and creatives in meaningful, small-group experiences.
Join us for an intimate Author Spotlight Workshop with Kate Anger — published author, educator, and writing coach — for an evening of storytelling, reflection, and guided creative practice.
This experience includes:
• A brief author talk and reading
• Insight into Kate’s writing process and inspiration
• A guided writing prompt designed to spark personal storytelling
• Time for reflection and optional sharing in a supportive setting
Whether you’re an experienced writer or simply curious about putting pen to paper, this workshop invites you to explore how memory, place, and lived experience can shape meaningful stories.
This session is designed to be welcoming and accessible — no prior writing experience required.

$15 per participant. Advance registration recommended.

Your registration includes author talk and reading, followed by a Q & A session and a guided writing workshop with the author. Participants will also have the opportunity for personal book signings by the author, who will also have limited copies for sale at the event.
Donations support both the teaching artist and ongoing programming through Pearl Center for Creative Arts, a nonprofit 501(c)3 cultural arts center based in Murrieta, California and home to the Murrieta Train Project.
Who Should Attend
Recommended for ages 18+ due to the themes explored in the book and discussion. Open to anyone interested in writing, storytelling, memoir, or historical fiction. All levels welcome.
