Join us for our biggest day of the Spot Prawn & Seafood Celebration, on June 6, 2026 from 11am to 5pm! Enjoy activities for all ages happening between the Fisherman’s Wharf and The Gulf of Georgia Cannery!
- 👩🍳 Culinary Stage 11am – 4:30pm – Join local chefs to learn insider tips for preparing and cooking delicious seafood dishes. Check out back soon for our chef line-up!
- 🎸 Live Music – There will be live music throughout the day on the boardwalk including local musicians.
- 🧒 Kids Zone – Learn about Gyotaku, the traditional Japanese method of fish printing with artist Paula Nishikawara, and try it for yourself! There will also be facepainting, an inflatable bouncy boat and live performances for the kids to enjoy.
- 🐟 Sustainability Expo – Celebrate Spot Prawn Day and World Oceans Day with the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site! From 10am–4:30pm, explore interactive booths on marine life, ocean conservation, sustainable farming, and more.
- 🤹 Circus Performances – Circus West will be performing throughout the day.
- 🍤 Dine About – Enjoy locally caught Spot Prawns at participating Steveston restaurants as part of this year’s Dine About event!

- Contribute to our community paint-by-numbers picture and take a selfie next to the Spot Prawn Mural by local artist Laura Kwok.
- Visit the Tourism Richmond tent for games and to find out what’s happening in Richmond this summer.
