About this Event
Michael Arkush is an award-winning sportswriter who has written over 12 books, including The Last Season with Phil Jackson, Unguarded with Scottie Pippen, The Big Fight with Sugar Ray Leonard, and Against The Grain with Coach Bill Courtney.
His brand new book is The Golf 100: A Spirited Ranking of the Greatest Players of All Time.
For our "Supporting Greatness" series, Coach Bill will be doing a live podcast interview with Michael about these legends he's written about and their own Army of Normal Folks who've supported their greatness.
An Army of Normal Folks has also interviewed Dirty Jobs' Mike Rowe, The Shack's Paul Young, and Medal of Honor recipients Dakota Meyer and David Bellavia for this series.
We hope you join us our latest "Lunch & Listen", where you can come watch interviews with some of the most fascinating Americans while eating lunch... quietly and cleanly :)
They're hosted at Memphis Listening Lab's beautiful SoundRoom at Crosstown Concourse.
Feel free to join even if you can't stay the entire time.
If you can't make this particular "Lunch & Listen", make sure to click follow us on our Eventbrite page and signup to join the Army here to receive updates about future ones.
Free street parking is available and also on the 3rd floor or above of the parking garage.
The Memphis Listening Lab is in the east atrium of Crosstown Concourse, on the 2nd floor just above French Truck Coffee.
Make sure to RSVP so that we have a seat saved for you.
An Army of Normal Folks is a movement and podcast that's led by Memphian & Oscar-winner Coach Bill Courtney (Undefeated on Amazon Prime).
It's based on his powerful vision that "Our country's problems will never be solved by a bunch of fancy people in nice suits talking big words on TV, but by An Army of Normal Folks just deciding 'Hey, I can help.'"
The podcast has been featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Sherri Show, Mike Rowe's podcast, and on the cover of Guideposts Magazine.
