About this Event
Want to make your own monster puppet? This Halloween season, we are teaming up with ventriloquist/puppeteer Kellie Haines and artist Greg Robinson in this fun and interactive puppet-making workshop!
We will start the class with a basic hand puppet made from a sock and cardboard—and then we will let our creativity run wild, adding their features (eyes, nose, hair, horns, ears, wings—anything you want!). Your puppet will have the character and personality YOU want it to have.
After the workshop participants are invited to join a “Monster Mash” march around the Museum and maybe even stop for some candy!
Kamilla the frog and Magrau the bird will also be there to meet you and your new puppet monster friends.
Workshop is open to all ages! Children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult. One ticket to this event includes supplies for one puppet. Please indicate in your registration, how many people will be accompanying the puppet-maker so we do not overbook the workshop.
Spaces are limited. Register early. Masks are recommended but not required.
