As part of a new events series 'Kitchen Stories at Fortnum's' every month, we welcome celebrated authors of both famous favourites and future classics to discuss their literary endeavours in the world of food and drink.
This Halloween, we will be joined at Fortnum’s by author Matt Ralphs, whose latest book Spooky Celebrations Around the World published by Phaidon, is a fact-filled exploration of 21 fascinating festivals that honour spirits. Inside, you’ll find each fascinating and frightful fact brought to life through Ukranian-born, Vancouver-based illustrator Veronika Kotyk’s vivid illustrations.
Taking place on 31st October - better known as Halloween - Matt will be reading from his new book, sharing many of the stories inside, which include festivals from Nigeria and Scandinavia to Cambodia to Mexico. The event will be held at the Book Shop on our 3rd Floor at our famous Piccadilly flagship store.

Ticket price is per child. Adults are invited to sit behind and do not require a ticket.
