About this Event
Open Arms Food Pantry has supported 80,000 families and individuals within LA County this past year and each year our impact increases within impoverished communities. Although LA County is one of the richest counties in America our cities are home to many micro neighborhoods that are living under the standard LMI of 200% or more. This leads to poverty stricken families barely making ends meet as the rents and cost of goods increase. Many residents are becoming homeless which is all to common now because of wages not matching the average cost of living in Los Angeles. Our mission and purpose is simple. We advocate for food equity to impact families and those aged. All to well these groups experience poor diets and food insecurity. All year our food pantry supports these groups as well as our two holiday events that impact hundreds of families and individuals pre-selected that truly need a helping hand. We have been there for US Military, Domestic Violence survivors, Transitional Age Youth, Aged and Families with disabled children and now we ask for your help no matter the size. We would love for you to be apart of our support this Thanksgiving Holiday.
Our methods of giving opportunities are as follows:
- Volunteering Day of Event (Organizing Goods, Engaging, Prepping Foods)
- Donating New Unused Product or Food Product
- Sponsoring our TurkeyTastic Event for November 22
- (Tiers are : $5,000, $10,000, $15,000 and $20,000)
- Donating fun swag items or tote bags for our cause.
