Vinita Ramani
Vinita is a published author and a public speaking coach. She has worked as a freelance journalist for over 20 years and has written on wildlife conservation, Southeast Asia cinema and identity politics. She was previously a publicist with the Singapore International Film Festival, and a co-founder of a nonprofit documenting the testimonies of genocide victims at the UN-backed Khmer Rouge Tribunal in Cambodia.nor is a multidisciplinary artist whose work situates identity and community within speculative timelines through frameworks of gender performance, ethnographic portraits and transnational histories.

nor’s writings have been published in Singa Pura-Pura: Malay Speculative Fiction from Singapore, Making Kin: Ecofeminist Essays from Singapore as well as Brown is Redacted: Reflecting on Race in Singapore. Their forthcoming debut poetry collection, homesick, published by Ethos, will be out in June 2025.
