Splendid Torch is not following a trend. With their sensitivity, suppleness, power & pure skill, they’re redefining Americana. Splendid Torch, inspired by classic country and their past experience in traditional music, brings indie sensibility to their heartfelt –and at times unusual– songs. Fronted by vocalist Lily Sexton, they are proudly claiming their place in the lineage of prominent, genre-defying women, calling to mind Emmylou Harris, The Roches, & Sheryl Crow.
Splendid Torch reaches out with their music, beckoning one closer, inviting us all to be part of something bigger together, if only for one night.
Bitter Pill is a New Hampshire–based roots ensemble built around a parent-daughter core, blending folk, blues, bluegrass, jazz, rockabilly, and country into what they call “rhythm and bluegrass.”
Known for their theatrical edge and cross-genre approach, the band mixes original songs, traditional material, and spoken-word elements—sometimes drawing from literature like Titus Andronicus, which inspired their 2018 debut Prepare Your Throats.
With releases like Desperate Times on the New Hampshire State Line and Livin Ain’t Cheap, Dyin Ain’t Free, they’ve built a regional following through energetic, foot-stomping performances that balance dark humor, storytelling, and old-time influences with a modern, irreverent twist.
