Join us for a powerful teaching on spiritual warfare - the unseen battle between God’s truth and spiritual darkness, where believers stand firm against the devil's tactics through faith, prayer, and God’s Word.
Beacon of Truth is a monthly speaking series designed to equip believers to understand the times we are living in and respond with Biblical wisdom. Each month, guest speakers will address current issues through a Biblical lens, not just to inform, but to cultivate God-given wisdom—helping believers live faithfully and stand firm in the unchanging sufficiency of Scripture.
This month’s event is Spiritual Warfare 101: The Unseen Battle.
Join us as we host Connie Pieske, a Biblical teacher with over 25 years experience. This session will explore the ongoing battle between good and evil where believers stand against spiritual forces of darkness. We don’t fight against people, but against the devil's schemes of deception, temptation, and demonic influence that oppose God’s truth and purposes.
You’ll gain a clear understanding of what spiritual warfare is, how to recognize when you’re under attack, and—most importantly—how to stand firm and fight using the Sword of the Spirit: the Word of God.
About the Guest Speaker:
Connie Pieske is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a passionate teacher of Biblical truth with decades of ministry experience. Known throughout the Detroit Lakes community as a faithful prayer warrior, she has a heart for encouraging others to grow deeper in their relationship with God and to stand firmly on His Word.
Over the years, Connie has led numerous small groups, Bible studies, and discipleship gatherings, creating spaces where people can learn, ask questions, and be strengthened in their faith. She has also been a sought-after speaker at women’s events and seminars, where her clear, Scripture-centered teaching and personal warmth resonate with audiences of all ages.
Connie brings both wisdom and compassion to her teaching, helping others apply Biblical truth to everyday life. Her desire is to equip believers to walk confidently with Christ, discern truth in challenging times, and live with steadfast faith and purpose.

Photo & Media Waiver Policy
By attending or participating in this event (“Event”), you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Consent to Photography and Recording
You understand that photographs, video recordings, and other media (“Media”) may be captured during the Event by the Illuminate The Truth, LLC sponsors, or authorized third parties. By entering the Event premises, you voluntarily consent to being photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded.
2. Grant of Rights
You hereby grant Illuminate The Truth, LLV and their affiliates, successors, and assigns a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, and display your likeness, image, voice, and appearance in any Media captured at the Event. This includes use in promotional materials, advertising, social media, websites, and other lawful purposes.
3. No Compensation
You understand and agree that you will not receive compensation, payment, or royalties for the use of such Media.
4. Waiver of Inspection and Approval
You waive any right to inspect or approve the final Media or any use to which it may be applied.
5. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under North Dakota law, you release and hold harmless the Illuminate The Truth, LLC, the venue, sponsors, and their representatives from any claims, demands, or liability arising out of or in connection with the use of the Media, including claims related to invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or defamation.
6. Minors
If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent on your behalf. By allowing a minor to attend, the parent/guardian agrees to these terms and grants permission for the minor’s image and likeness to be used as described.
7. Opt-Out Procedure
Individuals who do not wish to be photographed or recorded must notify Event staff in writing prior to the Event or inform a staff member upon arrival. While reasonable efforts will be made to honor such requests, the Illuminate the Truth, LLC cannot guarantee that incidental capture will not occur in public event spaces.
8. Governing Law
This policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of North Dakota.
