BikeWalkMHK is participating in the Spirit of the Holidays Lighted Parade!This annual community tradition brings the season to life with illuminated floats, walking groups, bicycles, and marching bands traveling down Poyntz Avenue. Participants help create the magic of the parade, spreading joy and holiday spirit throughout downtown Manhattan.
Parade staging will begin at 3:00 PM in the parking lot west of Dillard’s at the Manhattan Town Center. Participants will receive detailed staging instructions by email prior to parade day. Upon arrival, volunteers will direct you to your assigned spot. Please arrive on time, check in with event staff, and be ready when lineup begins.
All entries must include lights, including bicycles and walking groups. Costumes are highly encouraged, and everyone should dress warmly for the weather. Please note that Santa Claus may not appear in any entry, as he will make a special appearance at the end of the parade.
Distribution of candy and trinkets is welcome, but for safety reasons, please hand items directly to spectators near the sidewalks—do not throw them. Once the parade begins, maintain a steady pace and avoid creating gaps between entries.
BikeWalkMHK is aiming to take home the Best Bicycle Entry Award—given to the most creative illuminated bicycle display. Let’s light up the route and show our festive spirit!
