This workshop is free and open to all pregnant people/people interested in labor and delivery! Dinner will be served to participants.
Spinning Babies® is a physiological approach to preparing for and caring for birth.
During birth, babies descend through the pelvis by turning to fit each curve in the passage. Baby’s turns are “fetal rotation.” If fetal rotation can be made easier, birth is easier for everyone.
Spinning Babies® has become a paradigm, or a new view on childbirth. By understanding birth physiology better we can help birth be easier. Spinning Babies® is how we are Changing Birth on Earth.
Birth Sisters Doula Services was born from lived experiences and built on a deep commitment to equity, empathy, and education. Our mission is to walk alongside birthing people as they navigate one of life’s most powerful transitions. We are guided by the belief that every birth matters and every voice deserves space.
We accomplish this by:
- Offering birth and postpartum support rooted in trust and respect
- Supporting families in any care setting with education and a calming presence
- Elevating maternal health through trainings, system change, and education
- Training and guiding the next generation of doulas
- Partnering with healthcare systems, researchers, and communities to bridge gaps in care
