In this sex positive show, Lauren blends vulnerable storytelling with comedy to share what it's like dating with herpes, handling disclosure, and the path to healing. It's a story of stigma, self-discovery, and hope. This show is for anyone who's ever feared they might die alone because of herpes or anything else. Directed by Francesca Sobrer. Creative consultation by Lisa Burton.
🕑: 04:30 PM - 07:00 PM
Dating with Herpes Workshop - Navigating Disclosure as a Discussion
Host: Courtney Brame
Info: We'll have a workshop facilitated by Courtney Brame where we'll get an overview on Stigma, what it is, and speak to ways we can negate it for ourselves, especially when it comes to dating and navigating the discussion around sex and sexual health. Participants will walk away much more empowered to discuss (not disclose) sexual health versus just your positive herpes status. Bring your dating experiences and ideas as well as an open mind as we'll craft our dating and discussion styles whether it be over text, phone call, snail mail, pigeon carrier, casually, at a play party, or even retroactively after the deed is done. We want everyone to come away from this workshop and this whole expo with an understanding that stigma shouldn't impact our behaviors especially with something as important as selecting a partner.
