SPF 2026: Summit!

We are pleased to extend an invitation for you to join us on Saturday April 25, 2026 for SPF 2026: Summit! Hosted at Woolsey Hall on WSU’s campus, the journey begins at 9 a.m. sharp and comes to a close at 4:30 in the afternoon.

Summit! offers students the opportunity to present their portfolios, receive one-on-one guidance from industry professionals, compete for prizes, and network with fellow creatives to peak inspiration from all the trails that shapes our design world.

(Coffee and snacks will be provided throughout the review sessions) and many lunch options are available nearby at Braeburn Square during our intermission.

Pick your level of involvement:

$75 Alpinist (Competition Level) — Ready to throw your piton into the rock? Step right up and submit your best work for the competition! You're committed; not only do you understand the need for feedback, but you are also looking forward to competing with your work against other students for prizes. Success comes to those who climb for it!

$60 Hiker (Portfolio Reviews Only) - Still packing your portfolio? Gather astounding insight during the portfolio reviews and learn more about the craft from our breakout and keynote speakers. This level will provide valuable information for you about how your work stacks up and where you need to improve, but it does not include access to the competition and prizes.

$45 Base Camper (Spectator) — This level allows you to hear from our breakout and keynote speakers to learn more about the design world and building your ideal creative life through the artistic journey

$25 Camp Counselor (Faculty Support) — For those sage designers accompanying their students on their journey, this faculty ticket for the event includes the breakout speaker sessions and keynote presentation. We always appreciate the involvement of the university faculty. Come along to encourage your students and experience the event presentations!

Registration deadline is April 22 at 11:59 pm

Info: Competing for prizes and glory? The setup begins at 8:30 am and goes until 9:30 am.

Info: It's time to begin! Check-in and pick up your SPF kit at the check-in table. Need some breakfast to help kick-start your day? We'll have coffee and breakfast refreshments available for you!

Info: Attend either our morning breakout session with some amazing local design talent, or have your portfolio reviewed during this morning session.

Info: Visit some nearby local restaurants, including Social Tap and Sungrano Pizza, Fuzzy's Tacos, or Two Hands Corndogs to get some energy for the afternoon.

Info: Attend whichever session you didn't in the morning to complete your day!

Info: Vortex Souvenir co-creator, illustrator, designer and creativity-queen Hannah Scott speaks on living the creative life, and packing for the creative journey.

Info: Whose portfolios takes home the gold? We'll present the awards for the day and see you off!

Info: Join us over at Social Tap for an after party to mingle with other designers and students and get to know the local talent within the Wichita design scene!
