Speed Networking for Social Researchers of Colour

Access to industry knowledge and professional networks plays a crucial role in career progression. However, in a predominantly white research space, researchers of colour often face barriers to these opportunities. This event is designed to help address that gap by providing a space to connect with senior leaders in the market and social research sectors, gain insights into different career paths, and build long-term professional networks.

The event will begin with informal mingling, followed by small-group conversations with senior researchers, offering the chance to hear about their career journeys and ask questions. A drinks reception will follow the speed networking session, providing further opportunities to connect.

How does speed networking work?

During the speed networking session, attendees will take part in a series of small-group conversations with senior leaders in the sector. Each round will last for a set time, providing an opportunity to ask questions, hear about different career journeys, and gain valuable insights into leadership pathways. This format ensures that everyone gets the chance to engage with multiple senior leaders, broadening their perspectives and professional connections.

Please register by Wednesday, 2nd of April 2025. Entry is free, but booking is essential. Due to security restrictions at the Zappi building, only registered attendees will be admitted.
