About this Event
Original Dating is thrilled to bring our speed dating events to Reading — a fun, relaxed way to meet new people, spark genuine connections, and enjoy an unforgettable night out.
You’ll meet around 15–20 other singles through a series of easy-going four‑minute dates — just long enough to sense a spark, share a smile, and decide whether you’d like to get to know someone better.
Afterwards, our private online matching system lets you choose who you’d like to see again. If the interest is mutual, our system will connect you so you can arrange that all‑important next date.
Expect a warm, sociable atmosphere, a great mix of guests, and a professionally hosted evening designed to make meeting people feel natural, enjoyable, and completely stress‑free.

Important information
This event takes place in the downstairs bar. Please head downstairs where the host will meet you on arrival.
- Doors open 7.00 pm
- Event starts 7.30 pm
- Speed dating finishes at approximately 9.30 pm
- Venue closes 12.30 am
It’s essential that you arrive before 7.25 pm in order to take part. We might not be able to allow entry if you are late.
How it works
When you arrive at the best venue in town you’ll be met by our friendly host. After a quick introduction explaining the night, you'll be straight onto your first date.
Each date will last around 4 minutes, the perfect amount of time to get to know someone and not that long to just have a chat, if not.
Girls stay at the same table throughout the evening and guys move around the room.
The following day you can select your matches, 'yes' 'no' or 'friend' and by 5pm you'll find out who you've matched with and be off on a date in no time. It's really that simple.
We'll have a short break halfway through for you to top up your drinks.
After the event
Once everyone has met everyone your host will round up the event but that doesn't mean the night is over, there will be plenty of time to chat some more after the event.
