About this Event
We’re excited to bring a brand new speed dating event to Bath at Bootlegger! This fun and friendly evening is designed to help you meet other singles in a relaxed, social atmosphere.
During the event, you’ll meet around 15–20 people, with each date lasting just four minutes, long enough to spark a connection, short enough to keep the energy high. It’s a simple, exciting way to see if sparks fly with someone new.
The next day, you’ll find out who you mutually matched with via our website. From there, you can reconnect through our private messaging system and arrange your real-life dates in no time.
Bootlegger is centrally located in Bath, making it a great spot to stay for drinks or enjoy the evening out.

Important information
This event takes place in the private function room.
- Doors open 7.00pm
- Event starts 7.30pm
- Speed dating finishes approximately 9.30pm
- Venue closes 11.30pm
It’s essential that you arrive before 7.25pm in order to take part. We might not be able to allow entry if you are late.
How it works
When you arrive at the venue, you’ll meet our friendly hosts. We’ll briefly explain the format of the event and you’ll be straight into your first date.
You’ll have 4 minutes to meet and briefly get to know each person. We’ve found that 4 minutes is just long enough to find out if you'd like to see someone again but not too long if you don't.
Girls stay at the same table throughout the evening and guys move around the room.
After meeting each person, you need to decide if they are a ‘yes’, a ‘no’ or a ‘friend’ and jot down any notes to help you remember them. You'll find out who you matched with the next day, and you can message your matches via our app or website.
We'll have a short break halfway through for you to top up your drinks.
After the event
The speed dating is over when you’ve met everybody, but this is often when the fun really starts. Most people stay at the bar for a drink and get to know the people they like a little better.
