A fresh speed dating experience has arrived in Basingstoke, and it’s happening at Duck and Tipple. This lively, welcoming evening is all about meeting new people in a relaxed, social setting.
You’ll have the chance to meet roughly 15-20 other singles, with each mini-date lasting four minutes just enough time to see if there’s a spark while keeping the pace fun and engaging.
The following day, you’ll be able to see any mutual matches through our website. From there, you can chat privately and easily arrange your in‑person dates.
Duck and Tipple's central Basingstoke location makes it the perfect place to enjoy a drink or continue your night out after the event.

- Event starts 7.30pm
- Speed dating finishes approximately 9.30pm
- Venue closes 10pm
It’s essential that you arrive before 7.25pm in order to take part. We might not be able to allow entry if you are late.
How it works
When you arrive at the best venue in town you’ll be met by our friendly host. After a quick introduction explaining the night, you'll be straight onto your first date.
Each date will last around 4 minutes, the perfect amount of time to get to know someone and not that long to just have a chat, if not.
Girls stay at the same table throughout the evening and guys move around the room.
The following day you can select your matches, 'yes' 'no' or 'friend' and by 5pm you'll find out who you've matched with and be off on a date in no time. It's really that simple.
We'll have a short break halfway through for you to top up your drinks.
After the event
Once everyone has met everyone your host will round up the event but that doesn't mean the night is over, there will be plenty of time to chat some more after the event.
