About this Event
Join us in downtown Bethesda, Maryland for a facilitated Speed Dating event designed to support adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in meeting potential friends and romantic partners in a respectful, low-pressure environment.
This event is hosted by Harrington Matchmaking and led by Kate Inez Harrington, a neurodivergent-affirming matchmaker and coach specializing in supported dating and relationship education.
The event is focused on heterosexual pairings, with a limited number of male and female tickets available to ensure balanced matches. The first half of the event will feature guided speed dating, followed by supported mingling with conversation cards and activities to encourage natural connection. Light refreshments will be provided.
Registration is $39 and free for Harrington Matchmaking Constellations members. Please note that Eventbrite pricing may be slightly higher in order to absorb this platform's payment fees. Visit our website for the standard rate.
This event is for adults ages 21+. Many participants live with family or in supported housing and are involved in work, volunteer, or community programs. Participants should ideally be able to engage in short, spoken conversations, follow basic group guidelines, and participate without one-on-one supervision. The current average age of registered participants is 33. Participants may bring one support person, parent, or caregiver if necessary. Please indicate this during registration so we can plan accordingly. Space is limited at our venue.
