Bio

David is a Partner at RedOaks Energy Advisors, LLC, a firm he co-founded in 2018 alongside the partners at TenOaks to specialize in sell-side advisory for middle-market transactions in the exploration and production sector. Since its inception, RedOaks has successfully closed over $1 billion in transactions, spanning operated, non-operated, and mineral deals.

Before RedOaks, David was Senior Vice President of Energy Finance at LegacyTexas Bank, where he led debt financing efforts for both E&P and midstream oil and gas companies. His portfolio included publicly traded and private clients across major U.S. oil and gas basins.

David holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Oklahoma and an M.S. in Accounting from the University of Virginia. Recognized as a 2021 Forty Under 40 honoree, he also serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee for Challenge Manufacturing, an ESOP based in Walker, MI.
