Join us for a relaxed and creative bonsai workshop at Props Brewery, Hammock Bay in Freeport with one of our NEW species, the Pomegranate! The Pomegranate (Punica granatum) is loved for its glossy leaves, vibrant orange-red flowers, and miniature fruit. This species has been admired for centuries for its beauty and symbolism, making it a striking bonsai that brings both color and character to a growing collection.Previous bonsai experience is helpful but not required. If you have taken one of our Dwarf Jade beginner workshops, this is a great opportunity to expand your collection. Curious beginners who enjoy gardening and learning new skills are also welcome.
This hands-on experience combines the peaceful art of bonsai with the welcoming atmosphere of a local brewery, where you can craft your own bonsai tree while enjoying refreshing craft beers.
Led by expert bonsai instructor John Hunter, you’ll learn the basics of bonsai care, including trimming, shaping, wiring, and potting your own tree. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced enthusiast, this workshop is designed to guide you through each step with personalized, expert instruction.
Each participant will leave with a beautifully crafted bonsai and an aftercare kit to help your new plant thrive. It’s a perfect evening for solo guests, couples, or groups looking to unwind and tap into their creativity in a fun and laid-back setting.
