Welcome to this one hour introduction to Lindy Hop with Johan & Julie! 🤗 Get a taste of how you can dance to swing music that lifts the spirit and invites for expressive joyful movement! Lindy Hop is a partner dance, which evolved in the ballrooms of Harlem, New York City in the 1930s. Its origins are largely in the African-American community of Harlem, during the “swing era”, but the dance later spread across America – and around the world. 💃
During the workshop, we will be grooving to the beat and play with fundamental principles such as rhythm, connection and structures to improvise with. 🕺
Newcomers are welcome – no experience is needed. We also encourage dancers with other experience in Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, Tango to join for the dance communities in Copenhagen to merge even more! 🤩
