About this Event
What is the Special Olympics DC Summer Games experience? Hundreds of Special Olympics athletes and volunteers building communities of respect and inclusion! We celebrate the traditions embodied in the Olympic movement which celebrate the character of youth and adults with intellectual disabilities. Competitions are conducted with official rules and are followed with awards ceremonies filled with pageantry. Our Unified Sports bring athletes with and without intellectual disabilities together on the same teams for training and competition. Come out for an amazing experience that will leave you inspired!
