This summer, Pleasant Valley Church of Christ will host Under Construction, a Special Needs Vacation Bible School designed to create a safe, loving, Christ-centered environment for children with special needs and their families.
Our theme, Under Construction, is centered on 'And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6. Throughout VBS, children will experience, Jesus, is the carpenter of our life through Bible stories, music, sensory-friendly activities, and—most importantly—through caring relationships.
This ministry is intentionally limited to 50 students so that each child can be fully supported. Many children will be paired with a 1:1 buddy, including trained adults and youth volunteers, to help them feel safe, included, and loved.
Volunteers:
All volunteers are required to attend training. Adults (20 years and older) that have participated/attended training for the last 3 yrs, you are exempt from training.
