Japan Information and Cultural Center from Embassy of Japan in Switzerland is thrilled to present the special exhibition «Contemporary Japanese Ink Painting Exhibition», extraordinary showcase of contenporary Japanese ink painting. This is a novel ink painting exhibition that fuses traditional Japanese ink painting with a modern sensibility.
Ink painting is a type of painting method that uses ink, which originated in ancient China. The method was introduced to Japan during the Kamakura period (12th-14th century) and developed in its own way to become one of the mainstream methods of expression in Japanese art.
Join us to witness the evolution of Japanese ink painting, where every brushstroke tells a story of innovation, heritage, and creativity.
