Join BAERS for a workshop in the odd and unexpected in dances of the 1790-1830 extended Regency period! Though rarely done today, the social dances of the early 19th century included oddities such as a polonaise-mescolanze, a group allemande, and a nine-person reel, aswell as game-like elements such as cutting in, lifting one's partner, and dancing around pleasingly-posed couples. With internationally noted social dance historian and Regency-era specialist Susan de Guardiola we'll spend a lively evening exploring as many of the moreunusual styles of the extended Regency period in England, France, and Scotland as numbers permit and perhaps finding a few new favorites! $15/person in advance (Paypal) or $20 at the door. Ticketing through Susan's website: https://www.kickery.com/baers.html
