Please join us on Sunday, September 7 at 2pm for a special author presentation featuring Melissa Slager. Author Melissa Slager discusses her historical novel Contests of Strength and reads excerpts. The presentation, accompanied by a slideshow, discusses Northwest Coast whaling culture and the Cascadia subduction zone earthquake and tsunami of January 1700. There will be time for Q&A, followed by book sales and signings.Melissa Slager is a writer and journalist. She lives with her family in Everett, Washington.
