Salsa is a Latin dance influenced by several styles, like mambo and rumba. The dance is characterized by energetic footwork, spins, and turns. We teach On1, which is characterized by a lot of spinning and dancing in a slot (unlike Cuban or Cumbia styles).Bachata is a Latin dance from the Dominican Republic characterized by sexy body movement, syncopated footwork and free style moves that alternate between closed and open position. We teach both Dominican Style Bachata (footwork & musicality) and Modern Style Bachata (patterns & close embrace).
Our DJs at this event will be spinning both Bachata and Salsa music for one fun-filled night! Join Jodi and DJ Centeno for a Special Fifth Saturday Social on November 29th.
Beginner Drop-In Lesson: 8:30pm to 9:30pm with Jodi Fleishman
