Ohio’s buildings, neighborhoods, urban centers and rural landscapes give us an understanding of history no other documents or evidence can. Join architectural historian Barbara Powers in discovering the richness and diversity of Ohio’s architecture. The story of Ohio, from early settlement, through industrial expansion, to modern times, is reflected in its landmark buildings, urban centers, small towns, and the work of specific architects and builders. This talk will discuss broad architectural trends and characteristics of specific styles examined within the context of 18th, 19th and 20th century Ohio. This program is part of Ohio Creates: Arts, Culture and Literature, May's theme during America 250-Ohio's celebration of our state's heritage.
Lecture is included with museum admission.
