Ever felt like you weren’t ready to speak, lead, or take the stage? Guess what—neither was anyone else at first! 😆 Join us for a special April Fool’s-themed Toastmasters meeting where we embrace the power of confidence, improvisation, and "faking it" until we make it! **This meeting theme is inspired by "Your Body Language May Shape Who You Are", Amy Cuddy (2012).

Expect a night full of unexpected twists, impromptu fun, and transformational speeches that will leave you entertained and inspired. Whether you're a seasoned speaker or a total newbie, this is your chance to step out of your comfort zone and into the spotlight!

What’s Mainly Included in This 2.5-Hour Session?

Part 1: Prepared Speech Presentations
Our members deliver speeches based on Toastmasters projects, helping them refine their public speaking skills in a supportive environment. A great opportunity to practice, grow, and gain confidence!

Part 2: Speech Evaluations
Every prepared speech speaker receives constructive and encouraging feedback from experienced evaluators. These evaluations are precise, insightful, and motivating—designed to help speakers improve and excel.

Part 3: Table Topics (Impromptu Speaking)
A fun and interactive segment where both members and guests can participate! You’ll be given a surprise question and have to respond spontaneously—perfect for sharpening your quick-thinking and communication skills.

Over 16 years ago on February 1st, 2008, the Gek Poh Ville Toastmasters Club was founded with one objective in mind; to provide a platform for anyone who wishes to improve their public speaking skills.

We, as a club in Gek Poh Ville Community Centre are dedicated to providing the local community around our area an environment where they can hone their public speaking skills with support and cultivation.

We may be small, but we pack a punch. We are all about getting you specific one-on-one help and motivation on your particular challenges to achieving the goals that YOU want in speaking.
