Speaking Confidence Series: Eliminating Filler Words
Led by Tricia Veldman, MS CCC-SLP in collaboration with Emerald Coast Storytellers
Join us for an interactive workshop at Distillery 98 where we'll tackle the pesky habit of using filler words in your speech. Um, like, you know what I mean? We've all been there!
The ability to speak clearly - without verbal clutter - is incredibly empowering in both professional and social settings. Trusting yourself to concisely convey you rmessage fosters confidence in any speaking environment.
In this 90-minute class, you'll learn to speak with intention and clarity by reducing excess verbal clutter.
The workshops in this series are designed to stand alone - so even if you haven't attended other events, you won't be behind! If you have attended previous classes, this workshop will build on what you've already learned.

About the instructor:
Tricia Veldman, MS CCC-SLP is a local spoken word poet and professional speech coach with over 9 years of experience helping individuals overcome their deepest fear: public speaking. Having considered herself frustratingly timid for most of her life, Tricia battled her own speaking anxiety and now has the privilege of guiding others to do the same. She gave a TEDx Talk in 2023, shares weekly guidance on her YouTube channel, and recently published her first poetry book.
