BMC Radio presents "Speakers Corner" Poetry Slam
Speakers Corner poetry slam returns to Corner Corner on the on 17th November & 15 December, following the first event in October
Offering the mic to anyone and everyone engaging in the art of the spoken word.
Each month, slammers will have 3.5 minutes to convince the randomly selected judges of the worth of their words, with the three top-ranking poets on the night then having a head-to-head to take the top spot. Winners will get a 10 minute set at the next event and a place in the end-of-season final.Hosted by UK spoken word OG, Sam Berkson, founder of Hammer & Tongue Hackney.
The events will be fun, welcoming and open to anyone.

Interactive audience participation - vote for your favourite poets and decide who goes through to the next round
10 places will be available for each monthly slam, on a first come, first served basis, so sign up in advance or early on the door for a chance to share your words. Or simply, come down, grab a drink and watch the poets do battle!
