Spatial Gathering: Soundscapes and Field Recordings

We’re excited to announce the launch of our monthly spatial gatherings at @paradisegardencdf, a new series dedicated to exploring sound in immersive, multidimensional ways.

Each session will be a curated listening experience, bringing together live performances, fixed media, and composed works designed specifically for spatial sound systems. This is a space to sit, listen deeply, and experience audio beyond the stereo field.

For our first gathering, we’ll be focusing on soundscapes and field recordings. Together, we’ll explore works by practitioners pushing the boundaries of spatial audio, crafting pieces for ambisonic environments and 8-channel systems. Expect rich environmental textures, immersive sonic narratives, and compositions that blur the line between documentation and art. Whether you’re a sound artist, producer, or simply curious about spatial listening, this is an opportunity to connect, discover, and experience sound in a new dimension.

We’re also committed to making spatial audio more accessible. These sessions are designed to be welcoming to both newcomers and experienced listeners, with an emphasis on demystifying multichannel sound and creating a comfortable, inclusive listening environment.

Tickets £5 and will go towards future spatial monthly gatherings to invite artists to perform and talk about their work.
