Get ready to mix, fizz, and explore with Regional Parks for this exciting hands-on science activity at Yucaipa Regional Park, Tuesday, June 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., celebrating the country’s 250 Semiquincentennial anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.Bring the whole family and discover how safe and simple food ingredients like sugar and vinegar can create an amazing chemical reaction that looks just like a burst of fireworks.
As you watch your creation come to life, you’ll also learn how chemistry is happening all around us in fun and surprising ways. It’s a colorful, hands-on experiment that blends creativity with science and turns your table into a mini-celebration of fizz and motion!
Don’t miss this chance to explore, create, and learn together — it’s the perfect family-friendly activity that brings a little sparkle, a little science, and a whole lot of fun!
All ages are welcome. Leashed pets are welcome too! All supplies will be provided while they last.
Yucaipa Regional Park offers the perfect landscape to spend the day at the park fishing, hiking, biking, swimming at the swim complex with waterslides (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Check parks.sbcounty.gov/swim-schedules for pool schedule.), on the playground, picnicking and grilling, renting a pedal boat or disc golfing. Pack the car and come out for this exciting day of exploring the great outdoors.
Yucaipa is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is located at 33900 Oak Glen Road in Yucaipa.
This event is free for those camping with us. General park admission is $10 per vehicle Mon-Fri, $15 per vehicle Sat-Sun, and $20 per vehicle on holidays.
