Join us for a conscious movement practice at St. Luke's Church on the Avenue!
This is your chance to connect with yourself, your body and a community of open hearted humans that are committed to welcoming you exactly as you are.
In our hour and half together, you'll have the opportunity to move your body to the music as you see fit. While there's light guidance, there's no choreography and you're welcome to move in whatever way feels good. We'll also begin and end our time together with an opportunity to set intentions and share. This is our opportunity to heal, connect, express and move together. Come as you are!
HOW TO GET THERE:
If you've never been to St. Luke's Church, it's on the corner of Chestnut and 36th Street and you should be able to find street parking nearby.
When you're walking up to the front of the Church, walk past the main "Church" part to the further door. Once you walk through the door, you'll see stairs to your left. Go up the stairs, turn right at the top and you'll find our room at the end.
TIMING:
We will start class promptly at 12pm. Please arrive 10 min or so ahead of time so that you can get settled. While class ends at 1:30pm, we often stay a few minutes after for anyone who wants to continue sharing. There will be an opportunity to head out if you need to!
WHAT TO BRING:
Feel free to wear whatever clothing you feel comfortable in. Most dance barefoot or in socks. The room has window unit AC and please bring plenty of water with you to stay hydrated!
DONATION:
This event is hosted by Sparkle Space and is run completely on donation. After contributing funds back to the church to reserve the space, all other funds go towards putting on more events like this in the future, as well as a portion to the facilitator. Any and all donations are welcome. You can send them through @sparklespace on Venmo before or day of as well.
