About this Event
The Sparks Festival is an opportuntity for people of all ages in Bromley to get to know each other better over fun inclusive and educational activities.
The Sparks Festival takes place from Monday 12th January to Friday 20th February and is brought to you by Clarion Futures, Bromley Council and Incommon.
This event is presented by Greener and Cleaner at The Hub, The Glades, Bromley BR1 1DN. We are located upstairs, next to Waterstones and HMV.
Welcome to the Sparks Festival - Community Knit & Crochet Session!
Come join us for a fun session of intergenerational knitting & Crochet with your fellow community members. We will have adaptations for younger participants. If you are experienced and willing to share your skills with other participants we would really value you sharing your experienence if you are willing but there is no requirement to do that. We want everyone to enjoy themselves with no pressure. This session is designed to share our skills but also to form new connections with all generations.
We will provide scraps of yarn, needles, hooks and looms to use during the session. Feel free to bring your own if you have them or bring a project that you are already working on if you like. We will be working on small pieces like flowers and if you wish you leave your completed piece we will include in an installation to celebrate the Sparks Festival.
We will have suggestions for you to knit, crochet or loom know but you can work on your own idea. You can create something meaningful as we come together to create beautiful pieces and share tips and tricks. All skill levels are welcome!

We regularly take photographs at our events to support us explaining what we do, and keep our funders informed. If for any reason you would prefer not to have your image included, please discuss this on arrival with the event leader
An adult must remain in The Hub with primary school aged children. Secondary school children can attend independently.
The Hub is located upstairs in The Glades next to HMV and Waterstones.
