toward rebuilding strong family foundations
About this Event
Government support like SNAP, WIC, and school meal programs are intended as temporary tools–but for many families they’ve become generational dependencies. At the same time, skills like budgeting for groceries, meal prepping, and cooking healthy meals together are
disappearing.
This isn’t just about nutrition. It’s about:
● Rebuilding family confidence around food choices
● Modeling healthy habits for children to observe and adopt
● Reducing stigma by focusing on empowerment and education
● Bridging economic gaps with real-life tools–not just aid
We’ll address challenges like overdependence on government programs, the erosion of home-cooking traditions and the rise of door dashing and uber eats on payment plans, and how real change starts within the family unit.
