Join us on 11/26 for our final reading of our Spare Change: Play Reading & Discussion series. We are wrapping this series up with Pulitzer Prize winning play, “The Flick” by Annie Baker. In a run-down movie theater in central Massachusetts, three underpaid employees mop the floors and attend to one of the last 35 millimeter film projectors in the state. Their tiny battles and not-so-tiny heartbreaks play out in the empty aisles, becoming more gripping than the lackluster, second-run movies on screen.
Our reading will be held in Cinema 1 of the Maine Film Center at 7pm. Admission is free and no reservations required. Donations are welcome to help us keep our events accessible to everyone!
