“This exhibition expands the narrative of the American Revolution beyond the thirteen colonies, ensuring the contributions of Texas Hispanos are more fully recognized.”
— Tim Seiter, PhD, Historian, Author, UT Tyler Professor
The full exhibition opens in early August at The Heritage Society Museum in Sam Houston Park and will travel throughout Texas for eight years—reflecting the duration of the Revolution. Visitors will experience an immersive and authentic portrayal of foodways, medicine, labor, leisure, and the enduring resilience of Tejano communities in a region profoundly shaped by Native peoples.
