¡Ven a disfrutar de una noche de cine español con la proyección de la película "Julieta"!
About this Event

We regularly screen amazing Spanish or Latin American films (with English subtitles, no worries!) in one of our performance studios. You can combine this with a delicious drink or two or tapas in our very own Spanish wine bar, La Bodega (please note tapas is available for Thursday film nights only).

Watching a movie in Spanish is a fantastic way to listen to, and unconsciously absorb, authentic language. Our programme of curated movies from across the Spanish-speaking world helps to understand more about the unique cultures, histories and landscapes of this vast region.

About this week's film:

Julieta

Country: Spain

? Director: Pedro Almodóvar

? Winner: Best Actress (Goya)

"A film of such quietly assured mastery that it reminds you American cinema today has virtually no one comparable to [Almodóvar]" - Roger Ebert

12 years ago, Julieta's daughter, Antia, abandoned her without warning and hasn't spoken to Julieta since. When a chance encounter brings news of her daughter, Julieta returns to her former home to revive her search for Antia, whilst also examining the events leading to her daughter's estrangement.
