Colors with Culture is a workshop that uses Latin American and Spanish artists as a springboard to teach basic Spanish vocabulary through art-based activities. Designed for children ages 7 or + with little to no exposure to Spanish, this workshop combines creativity, sensory experiences, and language learning in a fun and supportive environment.Children will explore colors, shapes, emotions, animals, body parts, and time in Spanish while learning about iconic artists and expressing themselves through different art mediums, including painting, drawing, clay, and collage.
This first 4 week session will focus on POTTERY lessons. We will be creating with clay through various handbuilding techniques. This class will be taught by Carla Ron. Carla is a Ceramist originally from Ecuador.
