Meet at 2pm at Newlands Corner. The car park is located at GU4 8SE, and you can find it using W3W just.renew.assure.
Parking is free of charge
Newlands Corner is an area of open chalk downland with plenty of woodlands to explore, offering visitors spectacular views across the Weald the ridge of the South Downs. Below the ridge you can find the villages ofAlbury and Shere.
The crime writer Agatha Christie staged her disappearance from Newlands Corner in 1926. She was found days later in Harrogate.
The Newlands Corner car park there is a snack bar selling hot food and drinks. A number of self-guided trails can be followed from here but the purple trail, is a nice long walk taking in a variety of sites and habitat types. The vineyard at silent pool sells ice creams in the summer which is a nice little break. The walk starts at end of the car park and follow the purple signs along the top of the downs then drop down onto the North Downs Way and follow the path up to St Martha's Church from there back down following the trail to Silent Pool then up a hill to re-join the North Downs Way to take you back to the car park.
At the end of the walk we will head to the snack bar for some coffee & cake and a chat!
