This benefit is to support my daughters family. There infant daughter, Jupiter was born in November, with major medical issues. She was diagnosed before birth with a genetic disorder that she is missing 50% of one of her genetic (DNA) strings of chromosome’s and her intestines on the outside of her body called an Omphalocele. At birth it was discovered she was born with two holes in her heart, no anus/rectal tract, issues with her kidneys, amongst other issues. She had surgery a few days after birth to repair the Omphalocele and will require multiple surgeries throughout the rest this year to repair the heart and rectal tract. Jupiter spent the first three months of birth in the NICU at Childrens hospital. The family has many trips back and forth to Children's Hospitalin Pittsburgh.
