About this Event

This event is for children aged 13-15, we have the same walking adventure for a few different age groups so please check out our profile for more walks!

🦊 Out Foxed 🦊 will be a 11km walk and your children will be with us from check in between 9:00/9:20 and pick up at 15:00.
This adventure starts with a bus journey to Foxhouse in Longshaw so it’s very important that children are dropped off BEFORE 9:30am so not to miss public transport. If you do miss it, we will have to cancel your ticket and refund you as we have to get that bus in order for the rest of the day to run on time. We will then adventure back to Endcliffe Park Cafe.

📍 Drop off and pick up - Endcliffe Park Cafe -

The walk will be moderate, no big inclines, but, still packed with fun and knowledge, including:

🌿 Moorland Exploration

🥾 A scavenger hunt

The person leading the walk, and director of Discovery Outdoors is John, he loves the outdoors and has been exploring on foot wherever he goes — from the slopes of the Sierra Mountains and Mt Adams in the US to rainy spots in the Peak District. As a group leader, he has led hikes and Duke of Edinburgh training across the Yorkshire Dales, Peak District, and Zomba Plateau in Malawi. As a trained advanced outdoor first aider, the safety of the group is always his first priority. As an educator, John promotes the goals of Space to Grow — giving young people the chance to engage with their local environment, learn new skills, make friends, and build confidence. Alongside leading Discovery Outdoors, John also teaches A-Level Geography.

We hope that your children can join along on this adventure and more throughout the summer! If they do book on to two or more, they will receive a free Discovery Outdoors hat 🧢

Please ensure that you have dropped your child(ren) off by 9:20 latest so we can set off promptly from 9:30am.
