Space Making: Making Space, curated by Kunal Shah, is a group exhibition that brings together a diverse range of artists, architects, and designers to explore how space is imagined, constructed, and experienced. On view from 21 March to 25 April 2026 at Gallery Art Motif, the exhibition examines space across physical, social, and spiritual dimensions.
Through works spanning architecture, sculpture, textiles, photography, and craft, the exhibition reflects on the processes of defining boundaries, shaping environments, and negotiating presence and absence. From interspecies habitats and abstracted domestic forms to tactile textiles and ritual objects, the show highlights how space is continually made and remade, both materially and conceptually.
Featuring participants such as RMA Architects, Maitreyi Desai, Stem Design Studio, Pooja Iranna, and others, the exhibition offers a layered exploration of how environments are shaped by culture, material, and imagination.
